INTRAUTERINE INSEMINATION
It is an Assisted Reproduction Technique, which consists of giving drugs that stimulate the growth of 1 to 3 follicles in the ovary to later promote ovulation, at that moment the male is asked for a sample of semen which is improved (sperm capacitation ) and then through a soft catheter is introduced through the cervix to deposit the spermatozoa in the uterus. This technique is indicated mainly for young couples with mild infertility problems such as decreased sperm count or sexual dysfunction.
IN VITRO FERTILIZATION
Highly complex technique by which an egg is fertilized with ICSI / PICSI sperm in the laboratory, and three to five days after fertilization embryo is transferred into the uterus through a catheter. In order to obtain the eggs, it is necessary for the woman to undergo a controlled Ovarian Stimulation through the application of medicines.
It can be done by the traditional method or by performing Intracytoplasmic Injection (ICSI).
This technique is indicated for couples who have already performed several treatments of unsuccessful artificial insemination, obstruction of fallopian tubes or surgical absence, endometriosis or severe male factor.
